Introduction: Green Space Alien Face Paint

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

Time to test out a face paint design featured in Duran Duran Unstaged! This cute space alien design was contributed by Tracy from Memphis, Tennessee. Thank you!

Step 1: Start With White

First, I started with white all over the face. This is because green is one of the most common skin staining pigments, so using white as a base will prevent this, and it will also be a lot more easier to remove with soap and water afterwards.

Step 2: Add a Layer of Green

Next, I added a layer of Light Green on top of the white. This will make the green a little bit more lighter on top.

Step 3: Add Highlights

Then, I used a mix of dark blue and pale green on a few areas of the face to bring out some depth and shadow, as well as some highlights.

Step 4: Add Black

Now, I went into my black to draw on some features and outlines, as well as painted the nose, eyes, eyebrows, and lips. Then, I finished off with a few light brown stripes going down the bridge of the nose.

Step 5: Sexy Alien

Now, it's time to show off your true alien style! Thank you again, Tracy, for contributing this cute alien face! Love the definition of the colors, and the black really makes it pop out more!
