Grumpy Cat Costume

This is Grumpy Cat from Facebook. Her real name is Tarder Sauce and she is a real cat that looks mad all the time.

Step 1: Foam

I started with some green foam and cut it into pieces.

Step 2: Painting

I coated all the pieces in white paint.

Step 3: Drawing and Painting the Face

I drew on the face freehand from a photo of Grumpy Cat off the internet and painted it in. then I sewed it together painstakingly. it was all hand stitched and took about 20 hours to put the whole thing together. The final product was top heavy so I had to make a brace out of styrofoam and bamboo pieces to shore it up. The whole thing stands about 8 feet tall.
