Introduction: Gum Box Hanging Storage

Do you like to chew gum? Do you have old gum boxes lying around everywhere? (I kinda hope you don't...)

Then this little 1 minute project might be good for you!

The Idea is simple: Take an old gum box, and hang it for use as storage for your tiny desk objects.

(P.S. Sorry for the lousy pictures...)

Step 1: Materials

-An old Gum Box (I'm using a Wrigley 5 Evolve Gum Box)
-A Push Pin
-Cards and/or small USB Drives

Step 2: Prep Work

While this project doesn't require much prep work to make, you may decide to Pretty Up your box before hanging. Some recommendations may include printing off a "skin" for your box, colouring on the top, or even using construction paper or paint to change it's colour. I won't be doing any of this, however; that is your choice.

Perhaps the most important thing to do is clear out any garbage from your Gum Box (as well as any remaining gum. Get Chewing! )

The only other thing I would recommend is to flatten out the flap of your gum box, so that your storage will sit flat against the wall.

Step 3: Hanging

Simply pick the spot you want to hang your holder, then pop the push pin through it. If you are using the same box as me, I recommend popping the push pin through the center of the tab (as shown) this gives a generally clean look.

And look at that, you're done!

Hopefully this will help keep your desk or work space a little cleaner.
