Introduction: HOW DOES FUJI CAM WORKS ??FLASH CAPACITOR??

About: I am a tech enthusiast and like making electronics stuffs and I basically like experiments with circuits and electronics

Hello and welcome back to another article today I will show you what's inside your Fuji cam and what's a flash capacitor. I will open up my Fuji cam and the main hero of our circuits will be the flash capacitor .

Nowadays a lot of research is going on about flash capacitors and super capacitor that can be the replacement for the batteries but the main problems faced by researchers are that discharge rate of super and flash capacitor is very quick and their energy density is 1/6 of the conventional batteries

But for battery back up this type of capacitors are used and are perfectly suitable for it.

SO LET'S GET STARTED ,

Step 1: PERIPHERALS OF FUJI CAM

BEFORE OPENING THE FUJI CAM

Let's look at its peripherals it consist of a old camera roll , an image sensor , a eyepiece for getting the image view , and main important thing is the 3v lithium ion battery

It also consist of some gear mechanisms (maybe a spur and pinion) and a dc motor for rotating the roll as per cameras command .

But now we are getting a bit astray from out article our main focus is theflash capacitor..

Step 2: OPENING OF FUJI CAM

ONE QUICK NOTE BEFORE OPENING A FUJI CAM OR BASICALLY ANY CAMERA

You have to wear a safety gloves because if the capacitor is charged it can shock you and the pain will be insane it can travel very quick through your nerves .

WARNING be careful!!

Step 3: FLASH CAPS THE HERO

And now its time to reveal the most important component of the camera circuit we can refine the sentence one of the most important part of camera

What's the FLASH CAPACITOR ??

Oh sorry i am here to answer the question . So basically a flash capacitor is the main component behind the flashing of camera

Flash capacitor is charged when you press the flash button on your camera and discharges when you release the button .

In the coming slides I will go through the circuit completely So worry not .!!!!!

Step 4: ZENON TUBEO (THE FLASH)

What's actually the flash ???

Its nothing but a Zenon tube that ionizes when the capacitor dischargers through it .

So Zenon tube is a gas discharge lamp that is filled with Zenon gas that ionizes when a particular voltage is applied across electrodes.

the circuit description covers the entire circuit working in next step.

Step 5: CIRCUIT EXPLANATION

The circuit consist of a feedback coil in the transformer . When the switch (flash button ) is pressed the current starts to flow from the feedback coil and the base becomes active now and this feedback coil induces voltage in the primary as well as secondary coil.

Now when base becomes active transistor is a electronic switch so the current starts to flow between the emitter and the collector and the current flows from the primary coil this changes the induced voltage in primary and secondary coil . THUS creates pulse of high voltage to be precise Kilo Volts.

Step 6: FLASH

This charges the flash capacitor and after the flash capacitor is charged completely . It discharges through the Zenon tube ionizing the Zenon gas and creating the flash .

This is a beautiful concept and I love the electronics behind it . And

Step 7: NEON INDICATOR LIGHT

This is a complementary component that is not that important but it plays role when the capacitor charges and discharges . the neon gas inside it charges and make transitions from electrode point to another .
