Halloween Crow Costume

Intro: Halloween Crow Costume

This halloween I had a pair of black wings kicking around and rather than going as a lame "dark angel" I went as a monster crow.

The mask has a moving jaw and is made out of recycled cardboard and paper mache.

This is awesome! Do you have instructions on how to make it?

This is rad. It reminds me of a drawing I did a couple years ago :)

does the mouth open when you open yours or it just looks like?
Yes it does open. Quite well to. If I had more time I would have used a balaclava.
awesome! i would have put feathers all over it instead of that fuzzy fur-like stuff though...
I would have, but its hard to get fabric thats feathery.
why not just glue on some feathers?
This is fantastic! (: The fur looks great.. I think it lends this guy a more monstrous look than feathers would have. I love the effect of the tattered shirt/cloak, but I can't seem to find any sort of tutorial or even premade costume piece. Would you mind sharing how you made the cloak?
Get a large sheet of material ( big enough so when its in half its the size you want) Fold it in half, then half again and cut a little hole in the middle ( one of the corners when foled). When you fold it out this is what you put your head through. Cut it to the right size then trim around the edges to make the "feathers".

Its basically a big poncho. Two in my costume.
