It's hard to turn in, for sure. I don't wear it often, but when I do, I move about 1 mile per hour. Obviously with practice I could get better. Most of my practice time was spent intentionally falling so I would not lose a knee or an ankle if I accidentally fell. The staff is very helpful by the way. I decided to use it only after the costume was built.
I built digitigrade stilts based on this free ebook: http://www.lulu.com/product/file-download/how-to-make-digitigrade-stilts/3919379?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/2
