Introduction: Hanging Chessboard

I have seen a few other hanging chessboards. Some on here and some for sale. This seemed like a cheap and very easy alternative. It works great for my brother and I who are not often home at the same time. Now we have ongoing games. I am doing this instructable post-build, so I apologize for the lack of pictures. This is also my first instructable, so any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Step 1: Chalkboard

First all the supplies.

Magnetic chalkboard. ~$8 Walmart
chess set. ~$6 Walmart
magnets. $3 Amazon
super glue. had some laying around

Step 2: Chess Pieces

Pretty easy, just glue one magnet to each of the chess pieces. With super glue, it will not take much time to dry.

Step 3: Drawing It Out

With the board size I got, I was able to make each square approximately 2" each. So just measure it out and do the best you can.

The board came with two small magnets, so I decided to use one to indicate who's turn it was and another to show if someone is in check or check mate (since we're usually not around to tell each other).

The bonus for using a chalkboard is that you can use it to keep track of turns or leave trash talk messages.

It's as simple as that. Thanks to all the other instructables for giving me the idea for this.
