About: I think my interests tell a lot about me, I'm a multimedia artist which means I work in whatever medium grabs my attention, paint on canvas is very relaxing and acrylic paint can be mixed with paper to make a …
This is an adaptation of the many other oillamps shown on here or you can leave off the lid and put a candle in the jar or even a small plant

Step 1: You Will Need

Your going to need,
a jar with a lid
wire, Im using floral wire here but you can use electrical wire
something to cut the wire
A wick ( I took one from a tiki torch that melted on me)
citronella oil or regular lamp oil

Step 2: Making It Hangable

You will need 3 or 4 pieces of wire around 30" long, I doubled up the floral wire for strenght and to add a little something to the finished product.. Pretty simple, wrap the wire around the jar below the screw cap and twist to hold it tight

Step 3: Repeat

repeat the above step 3 or 4 times depending on how many wires you want your lamp to hang from

Step 4: Connect

Now connect the wires at the top, making sure the lamp will hang level, add another short piece as a loop to hang from

Step 5: Make It a Lamp

Drill or cut a hole in the lid to fit your wick

Step 6: Assembly

cut your wick to lenght and insert in the lamp, fill the jar with oil and let the wick soak for an hour or so

Step 7: Hang It Up and Enjoy

Find a place in a tree or other location to hang your lamp and enjoy
