Introduction: Happy Thoughts Jar


The Happy thoughts jar can cheer you up if you are feeling negative, sad or angry just by reading a happy thought memories will come back and fill you up with happiness!

For this happy thoughts jar you will need:
A jar with lid
Paper
Scissors
Pen/pencil
Stickers
And felt tips
Ruler
Sellotape

Step 1: Starting

First you need to get a piece of paper, scissors, pencil and ruler.

Step 2: Cutting and Drawing the Label

To make the label copy the dimensions from the picture and then cut it out!

Step 3: Colouring the Label

Now colour your label in; you could use lots of different patterns on your label or just basic plain colours with a black outline it's up to you!

Step 4: Sticking Your Label On

Next stick your label on, it is easier to use sellotape as it sticks to glass easier than glue

Step 5: Designing the Lid of Your Jar

Now get your lid and you can design it however you like using stickers, paper and pens/pencils including the inside if you are feeling extra creative!

Step 6: Preparing to Make Your Happy Thoughts

Now we've got the lid and the jar sorted we are missing the most important thing.... HAPPY THOUGHTS!!!

To make the happy thoughts for your jar you need paper, scissors and a pen or pencil.

Step 7: Cutting Out the Paper for Your Happy Thoughts

Now you need to cut the paper into lots of rectangles it doesn't matter if they aren't the same size!

Step 8: Colouring Your Rectangles

You don't have to do this step if you don't want to, but if you want to make the happy thoughts stand out, colour the rectangles in using lots of different colours!

Step 9: Writing the Happy Thoughts

Now think of lots of happy thoughts and write of them on each rectangle you make!

Step 10: Folding Your Happy Thoughts

Fold up every happy thought you make and put it in the jar,

Everytime your feeling negative, angry or sad read a happy thought to cheer yourself up and bring back memories!
