Having Internet in a Power Failure ?!

In some countries like Greece(there I live and) we have really usually power failures (I don’t know if you have the same problem in USA)

That’s a big problem especially when you are working on the computer.

To avoid that you can use a laptop , tablet or your smartphone , but what about the internet connection ?

Step 2: Battery Pack

To solve this problem I make a common AA

batteries power supply for my internet router !

In my case I need 12 volts and 1 amp, so i need 8 AA batteries (8*1.5 = 12 V)

To connect all thaws batteries together I have joined together two battery packs from old R/C cars radio controllers

Step 3: Connections

Now for connecting the self-made battery pack with the router I chose this wire that from the one side has two alligator clips and from the other it fits nicely on the router .

(You just have to connect the positive side of the battery pack to the red clip and the black to the negative)

Step 4: That's It

And that's it ! Now you can enjoy internet connection whit Ethernet cable or wireless with Wi-Fi in any situation like power failure !
