Intro: Healthy Hershey Kiss Pretzels (Sort Of)

Hershey Kiss Pretzel Treats are wonderful and traditional, and they're great for holidays. But who says they're just for holidays? Here's a version with a little bit of a healthier variation to it. This recipe is very flexible, so use what you like, these are just suggestions.

Recipe:
10oz bag of mini pretzels, your choice
12oz bag of Hershey Kisses, your choice
5oz bag of any dried fruit

STEP 1: Lay Them Out!

Preheat your oven to 170 degrees. Line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper. Set pretzels on the lined baking sheet. One pan should fit at least 24 pretzels. I used Rold Gold Butter Checkers because they catch the chocolate better, but the regular shaped kind is just fine too.

STEP 2: Warm Them Up!

Unwrap the necessary amount of Hershey Kisses. I used regular milk chocolate because of the fruit I picked, but any kind will do. Set one Hershey Kiss on top of each pretzel. No need to try to push them in, they will melt and stick on their own. Put them into the preheated oven for 4-6 minutes.

STEP 3: Put on the Fruit!

After the time is up, remove pretzels from the oven and quickly push your selected fruit into the soft chocolate so that it nearly covers the top of the pretzel. I chose dried pineapple and dried cherries. Put them in the fridge or freezer for about 10 minutes or until chocolate re-sets.

STEP 4: Finish Line!

You're done! Take your pretzels treats out of the cold and enjoy them! I love these because they're slightly healthier than using M&M's to push on top of the Kisses and they're still very tasty!

This looks like an AMAZING idea. It seems like it would be great for little ones (kids) becuase they dont get the chocolate on their hands, and its got fruit. Great post!
