Introduction: Heat-embossed Card

About: I will be sharing with you helpful videos about cardmaking, papercrafting, painting, some occasional journaling and more.

Here is how I made this heat-embossed and watercoloured card. The heat embossing and watercolouring makes it really special.

Step 1: Preparing

Get all the supplies. I used an A6 blank card, a floral stamp, heat embossing ink pad, silver embossing powder and an anti-static bag.

First mark the width of your card on a piece of white cardstock.

Step 2: Heat Embossing

Use the anti-static bag to get the surface ready for heat-embossing. This will allow the embossing powder to stick only on the stamped image.

Stamp the floral image on the 2 corners of the marked surface, add the embossing powder and heat emboss using the heat tool.

Step 3: Colouring

Colour the florals using watercolours.

Step 4: Assemble

Matt the card with some pastel card.

Fussy cut the embossed florals, trim the edges and affix them to the card using foam tape to add a bit of dimension.

Step 5: Finish

Add a sentiment on the diagonal to finish.
