Introduction: Heavenly Peanut Butter M&M Bars
I've been making these cookie bars for a more than a dozen years, inspired by some back-of-the-box recipe I saw somewhere. They're easy and quick and a nice change from regular cookies. They also make nice holiday gifts! I made these in part to give away to some special teachers in our kids' school.
Let's get started!
Step 1: Ingredients
The ingredients you need are few:
1 box of yellow cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup of oil
1/2 cup of chunky peanut butter
1 cup of M&Ms
Step 2: Combine and Bake
Mix together the cake mix, eggs, and oil. Then mix in the peanut butter. Lastly, mix in the M&Ms.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9"x13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees (177 degrees Celsius) for 14-17 minutes, or until the top is just starting to brown. You could also use the "knife/toothpick comes out clean" test.
Step 3: Eat All the Bars
Feel free to experiment with the ingredients, replacing or adding to the M&Ms. You can't go wrong! Eat them yourself or give them out as wonderful, tasty, and colorful treats. Enjoy!
