Introduction: Herb Stripper
This handy 5 minute project is super easy to make and a great help in the kitchen. It will minimize the time taken pulling individual leaves off stems. Also great if you want to store herbs quickly without the stems attached. Let's get started!
Step 1: Materials and Tools
You only need three things for this, but I wasn't accepted into the contest.
1. Measuring cup (1/2 cup is what I used)
2. Drill
3. Drill bits (width should be about the same as the size of the stem)
Step 2: Bend Handle
Bend the handle so that it is vertical (or close to vertical)
Step 3: Drill Holes
Drill them holes! As you can see the last hole on the bottom is way to the side. There was going to be another hole next to it but the bit broke so now it looks like a drunk did it. (Drunk drilling-"don't do it kids")
Step 4: Finished!
Just put a stem into the hole and pull. The leaves should fall into the cup. Tell me how long it took you in the comment box below. :)
Note: if the leaves aren't falling in the cup try bending the handle forward.

Great job! very simple but amazing idea. I would love to see some shots of it in use? you said your bit broke just a little tip i've picked up in the metal working side, always buy Colbolt bits there a little more expensive but I can drill through 10 peices of HCS with out it ever breaking, even the tiny holes.
