Hi everyone! While at my local Lowe's store, I found these $2 Terra Cotta pots. I picked up two and also two terra cotta saucers.

I wanted to create a decoration that could be displayed in the home or garden/patio. You will need just a few materials, and there will be a few that are optional.

Supplies

Terra Cotta Saucer

Size 4.25''

Terra Cotta Rimmed Cylinder Pot

Size 3''

Acrylic paint

I am using white for the pot and celery green for the clay saucer

Moss

I am using preserved moss that I purchased at Walmart

E6000

Hot glue

Faux floral

Paintbrush

Floral cutters

Optional- Mod Podge or clear coat spray paint and butterfly gems

Step 1: Applying Paint to the Clay Saucer

Start by taking your paintbrush and applying acrylic paint to each clay saucer.

Set your clay saucers aside and allow them to fully dry.

Step 2: Apply Paint to Pots

Next, take your pots and use your paintbrush to apply your acrylic paint.

Allow your pots to fully dry before moving to the next step. **Note** After the paint has dried on your clay saucers and pots, you could take either a clear coat spray or mod podge to seal in the paint.

This can be done if you are planning on displaying your decoration outdoors.

Step 3: Attaching Clay Saucer to Pot

Take your pots and flip them over to where the bottom of the pot is facing up.

Next, apply some adhesive around the bottom of the pots. Take your saucers and add them to your pots.

Step 4: Adding Your Moss

Next, take your moss and begin to spread it on the inside of the saucer. I used some hot glue when attaching my moss to my saucer.

Step 5: Preparing Your Floral and Adding Embellishments

After, take your floral cutters and cut your floral to the desired size. Use some hot glue and attach them to the inside of your saucer with the moss.

Once you have added your flowers you can add any other decorations or embellishments to your design. I added two of my butterfly gems.

Your terra cotta pot designs are complete. Aren't they so pretty? I love how they turned out. I hope that you have enjoyed this easy DIY tutorial.
