Intro: Home-made Hamster Treat (:

You know those hamster treats you buy that are sticks of treats that youclip to the bars? yeah well its like a refill for one of them, or you can make it into a ball (:

STEP 1: You're Gonna Need:

50g of nuts that you can crush (sorry for being so vague) I used monkey nuts
one Biscuit
A spoonful of honey
50g butter

STEP 2: Method:

This is really easy, my nephew daniel helps me make them (he's 3 years old).
wrap the buscuit and nuts up in clingfilm and crush them up with a rolling pin (daniel didnt help with this bit lol)

Put the honey in and mix it up

Add the Butter and mix it all up, add more butter if you need it im not 100% sure of the butter measurment (sorry about my awful spelling)

Once its fully blended it should become shape-able (sorry again!) so make it into a balll or somthing and put it in the fridge for half an hour and then give it to the hamster (its perfectly safe, i checked with the vet!) the more hamsters you have make more of it, dwarf hammies should have 30g of each thing rather then 50. I have 6 hamsters in total so i make a bit more then most! my nephew has great fun shaping it and mixing it up!

Hey, this is a great instructable and is very informative. Just one thing is missing... pictures! It really helps a lot when trying to follow directions so you should consider taking some photographs. Once you do that and leave me a message when you have so that we can publish your work. Thanks! Thanks for the cool instructable and we hope to publish this soon!
Your hamster is SO cute! I used to have a hamster, well 7 hamsters( not all at once, one at a time!) I had one that had complete opposite colors, and she looked like she had gotten into a bowl of sugar! (And you can probably guess what we named her!) :-)
