Intro: Homemade Apple Jelly

Nothing finishes a meal like a bite of something sweet. Why not make your own jelly to add that touch of fruity sweetness to end the meal?

Please be careful using a glass cup to dip the hot jelly. Pyrex, before 1998, was made from borosilicate glass which is heat resistant. Since that time the cups are made of lime-glass which better resist impacts (dropping) but too ofter shatter when dipped cold (room temp) into high heat liquids. Better, IMHO, to use a ladle. Also, (sorry to be such a safety cop!) place your hot jars on a kitchen towel instead of the counter - especially if you have marble.
