Introduction: Homemade Easy Deodorant
When your in a rush, and deodorant is too expensive, this homemade deodorant is perfect, because you can choose your sent, and almost every household is sure to have these ingredients. Instead of wearing off as soon as you sweat, this works as the perfect shield against sweat and smelly armpits and sweaty necks.
Materials needed:
- 6 blobs of aloe Vera gel (or 2 teaspoon)
- 2 teaspoons of baby powder
- 2 small squirts of lotion (preferably dry skin or thicker lotion)
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (pure)
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 2 sprays of your favorite perfume or body spray
- Popsicle stick (to stir)
Step 1: Mix Wet Ingredients
in a small bowl, using the Popsicle stick mix the aloe Vera gel, lotion lemon juice and perfume.
Step 2: Mix Dry Ingredients
First, slowly mix in the baking soda into the wet mixture, prepare for a fizz as the lemon juice is very acidic and causes a reaction with mixed with baking soda. Keep stirring until the reaction stops. Then, add the baby powder. Mix, mix, mix, until the formula becomes a thick paste. If it is too liquidity, add more baking soda and baby powder. If it is too thick, add more aloe Vera or lemon juice. Last but not least, add the squirts of perfume or body spray. Step 3: Apply!/ Explaining Ingredients
Use 2 fingers and rub a small dollop in each armpit until almost absorbed into skin, but still visible. Re-apply when needed. CAUTION: lemon may sting pores if recently shaved of waxed. Unless you are ok with a light sting for a few minutes, wait a few days to use.
