Introduction: Homemade Bicycle Wall Mount
I have 4 bicycles and they are taking too much space. I modified wall mount racks with a heavy duty hinge to stack them neatly and off ground.
Step 1: Materials.
Bicycle Rack and heavy duty 5 inch hinge. The rest are wood screws and bolts and nuts.
Step 2: Drill Holes
Depending on your choice of rack and hinge, try to drill holes to fit at least 2 nuts and bolts onto rack and hinge.
Step 3: Secure Rack to Hinge
Use bolts and nuts to secure rack to hinge.
Step 4: Secure to Wood
Next, use wood screws to secure the hinge to the wood.
Step 5: Pre Drill
Pre drill holes on wood as it is easier to secure it to the wall.
Step 6: Completed!
Now, I can hang all 4 bicycles and tilt them to the left to save even more space. Google "steadyrack" and " TC 8500 wall mount rack" for ideas. Hope you like my first post.

How much space from the wall would you say this saves you? Seems like a great idea!

Hi, at least two thirds of the height of the bikes if they were hung vertically.....tilting to the side really save a lot of space. My wife is pleased.
