Introduction: Homemade Iced-coffee
for us in the southern hemisphere, summer is fast approaching and despite the heat, sometimes you just need a caffeinated treat. my solution to this: iced-coffee. instant coffee, as awful as it is, actually does make a pretty decent iced-coffee. so here, enjoy. :P
Step 1: Making the Coffee
first stick the kettle on. then put desired amount of instant coffee and sugar into a mug (about 1 teaspoon of each is what i use). when the kettle has boiled, fill the mug to about 1/4 full of hot water and give it a quick stir. drop 3 or 4 cubes of ice in and top it up the rest of the way with milk. give it another small stir.
Step 2: Drink the Marvellous Liquid
for all of you suffering the heat that is summer, i hope this makes it a little more bearable. swimming pools are also nice but anyway. adios amigos. until next time. :P

Freeze coffee in ice cube trays instead of water and you won't have to worry about it getting watered down when the ice melts

Used to do this then I started cold brewing big batches and keeping it in the fridge. Its so easy and you'll never go back to instant junk again.

i did think about just making the 'coffee essence' thing and then refrigerating it but i'm impatient. :P thanks for the tip though
