Intro: Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

A guide to making a delicious, chocolate holiday treat to impress your friends and family.

STEP 1: Ingredients

Materials/Ingredients Needed:

  • Sugar
  • Flour
  • Cocoa
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Vanilla
  • Brown Sugar
  • Hot Water
  • Whipped Creme(Optional)
  • Bowl
  • Baking Pan
  • Fancy Dish

STEP 2: Prep Work

Pre-Heat the oven to 350 degrees
Melt 1/3 cup of Butter
Ready Measuring Cups
Ready your bowl and pan

STEP 3: Stir

In your bowl, add together
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 3 tablespoons of Cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons of salt

After you have mixed the dry ingredients, its time to add the others

  • Stir in 1/2 a cup of Milk
  • 1&1/2 teaspoons of Vanilla extract
  • The butter you melted earlier

Beat until smooth

STEP 4: Pour

Pour the chocolate batter into the baking pan

STEP 5: Mix Some More

Using a different bowl, mix these ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 4 tablespoons of Cocoa

After you have mixed the ingredients, sprinkle the mixture evenly over the batter,
then pour 1 1/4 cups of Hot Water over the batter,
DO NOT MIX

STEP 6: Cook and Eat

Stick in the oven and bake for 35-40 min

After done, let sit for 15 minuets, then serve and enjoy.

but i.. i.. (i cant bear to sy it) i dont have an oven
Well, It came out weird for me - all liquid on top after 50 minutes in the oven at 350.
However, I then put the batter in a bowl, added two eggs, and baked it for another 30 minutes, and it was good.

This is my husband's favorite cake! His mom gave me the recipe when I first married him, and I make it for him each year for his birthday! It's a tad different from mine, and I mix the sugar and cocoa together before spreading out on top of the batter and pouring on the hot water. Good job spreading the joy!
Looks interesting, but I'd definitely have to use a different brand of baking powder than the one you show. I am not overly fond of aluminum based baking powders.
