How I Fixed My Watch

Introduction: How I Fixed My Watch

For those of you who don't know, I posted an Instructablle asking if someone could help me fix my watch. I got so many helpful answers back and I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who replied! I moved this question over to the Answers tab, and got some great advice. Anyways, in this Instructable I will be showing you how I finally got it working!

  • NOTE- I am in no way a professional jeweler or jewelry/watch expert. This is just what worked for me and the tools I used to do this.

Step 1: Materials

After getting some great answers back, I received a message saying that since this watch is quartz, it was in fact battery-operated. Here are the tools you will need to get to the battery compartment.

  1. A Pairing knife.
  2. Your watch.
  3. a soft towel or cloth.
  4. a replacement battery (can be found at a drug store)

Step 2: What to Do

First, flip the watch over so the crystal is on the towel so it doesn't get scratched. Take your knife and wedge it under the back of the watch so that it pops up. You will now see the inside of the watch. The battery is small, round, and tablet shaped. Go ahead and carefully pop this out and bring it to the store with you so you know what kind of battery you need. If anyone needs further help, please don't hesitate to PM or comment your question, and if I can't help you I'll make sure to redirect you to anything that might be a better help. I hope these instructions were understandable and I hope I helped anyone who needs it. Thanks for viewing!
