How to Add

This Instructable will tell you simply how to add.

Step 1: Get an Equation

I choose the equation 12 + 38.

Step 2: Write Down the Equation

Now you must write down the equation. To do this write it vertically not horizontally.

+ 38 Write the equation like this making sure the sign is on the left and the digits line up.

Step 3: Now Add.

To add read the equation from right to left and top to bottom.
First add 2 and 8. That equals 10 so you must take 0 and put in underneath then take the one and put on top of the digit to the right, the 1. Now you must add the 1 you took from the 10 and the 1 in the 18. You should get 2 if you added it correctly. Now you must take the 2 and the 3 and add them together. You should end up with 5. Now read the final product left to right and you get 50.

Step 4: Congratulations

CONGRATULATIONS you just learned to add.
