Introduction: How to Apply Faux Lashes
Applying faux lashes doesn't sounds like rocket science, but it can get sticky if not applied properly. So here are a few easy steps to follow to avoid an icky mess, and achieve flawless looking lashes!
Step 1: What You Will Need
You will need: 1 Pair of lashes, lash adhesive, mascara, and tweezers.
Step 2: Pick the Right Lashes
Picking the right lashes. Always keep your eye shape in mind, and what end result you would like to achieve. I have big eyes and love full looking lashes, so I chose longer, fuller lashes with wings(that's when the ends flutter out a bit longer). You can find cheap lashes for about $2-$5 dollars at your local Wallgreens or you can find fancier lashes at Sephora or Mac for about $12-$40 dollars.
Step 3: Applying the Lashes
Check the fit!
Align lash with your own natural lash to check the fit. If they are to long trim the excess starting at the outer edge.
Step 4: Applying the Adhesive
After you have correctly fitted your lashes it's time to apply the adhesive. Apply a thin line of adhesive along the eyelash band. While holding the lashes gently on both ends, flex the lashes a few times to give it a round shape to fit your eyes.
After about 20 seconds or when the adhesive becomes tacky, use your tweezers to gently place the eyelashes as close to your natural lash as possible. Once in place press down gently to secure.
I like to use Revlon Precision Clear, because it has a thin applicator brush. It's also comes in black, and white. There are many other adhesive glued to choose from another I would recommend is DUO.
Step 5: Add Mascara
Finally apply a thin layer of mascara to blend your own lashes to the faux ones and you're done!
If you would like you can also add eyeliner.

Great tutorial!
As a guy that never deals with fake eye lashes, I'm a bit curious... how long do these stay on, and how to you remove them?

Thank you!
Great question, the ones I used for the tutorial are one time use only. Although if you purchase the higher quality one from MAC, or Sephora most are reusable with gentle care of course.
To remove the Lashes you simply begin to peel them off gently starting at the outer corner of the eye.
Hop that helps :)
