Introduction: How to Boil Water
It is essential to have water in the wilderness. You need to be sure that it is clean. Bad water is worse than having no water at all. This shows you how to boil water with a canteen cup and stand.
Step 1: Getting the Water
Find a creek, river, stream, whatever. As long as it is a water source it will work. Cover the top of the canteen cup with a handkerchief (to filter out bigger impurities) Fill up the canteen cup with water.
Step 2: Boiling Time!
Anchor the stand on a level place so the canteen cup doesn't fall over. Add your tinder through the slot. Light the tinder, then when it's going add dry leaves and small twigs or sticks. Trioxine tabs work really well too. Keep the small fire going until you get half-inch bubbles or bigger.
Step 3: Safe to Drink
Now you can drink your water without worrying if your going to die of some sort of disease or something like that!

this is what you can do. Before you put water in the pot, put a smaller pot in it. Then put the big pot's top on upside down so that the water will condense and then slip down. I got this from a survival book
