Introduction: How to Enter the EL Wire Contest

Electroluminescent wire (EL wire) lets you put a glowing line anywhere you want. Powered by batteries, EL wire lets people become Tron characters, look like flames are flickering across their clothes, or create any other awesome glowing effect. We want to see what wonderful ideas you have for EL wire and along with thatscoolwire.com we're having an EL Wire Contest!

Any type of EL wire Instructable can be entered. Whether it's a single wire accenting a hat or an animated flock of birds hovering over your head, it's up to you. Use your imagination and take plenty of pictures to explain how you did it. Make something amazing and you could win the grand prize of $250 worth of goods from thatscoolwire.com and some goodies from Instructables!

If you've never played with EL wire before, check out how to solder EL wire, Fire Skirt, Light Up Costume, spinning EL wire, and how to add EL wire to clothes. It's pretty accessible stuff and very fun to play with!
