hmmm, I still can't see the winners when I click the link.
Probably they are having a hard time because of all the great entries. It must be hard to choose.
hmmm judging date changed and were there some more added to the finalist list? Just wondering since it's kinda hard to tell heh.
one more was added as far as I could tell called "Adapt a clock today! Cheap trackers boost solar panel and solar cooker performance", by gaiatechnician. I don't remember ever seeing this entered in the contest before June 16th (after the closing date - go figure)
That was the only one added after the rest. The list was narrowed down to finalists based on votes. After looking at the entry we decided that it deserved to be considered as well. After that, it's up to the judges to decide.
I'm jumping around like a dog in a butchers' shop doorway here, who won? who won?
When, do you think? Just wondering so I can be around for it... :D Any time now or this evening sometime? I'm on EST. thanks, DMC
UPDATE: The announcement will have to be tomorrow. It appears that someone who I won't name by name forgot to vote and really wants to. Sorry for the delay.
Byargh... Wants to know results because I'm bored...
hmm... 2 are missing from the list of finalists, one of which is mine... were they decided to not be up to snuff or something?
The two that were removed are perfectly fine. If you think about it, you shouldn't be upset that one of yours was removed.
cool! I was glad that there was another added to the list. Now i can't wait to see who the judges vote for!
I can't find the results anywhere, are they still judging?
It's down to 49 finalist this morning, two are no longer with us! One was about making bio diesel and the other about making bowls out of waste paper. However the instructablers of these both had other entries in the finals. So ..... I guess we are all biting our nails!
I get it, so out of the original finalists we're at the knock-out stage, hmm how long does that take do you know?
who knows? My loons are getting anxious!
My loons need changing lol. I don't do this waiting for results thing very well. Good luck Stinkymum
So it's about 4:30am Instructables Time, they must be about finishing their second gallon of coffee by now, 'phoning the people over at Discover. Why have we heard nothing yet?!!
I thought mine was original enough to be a finalist. guess not. (And I though a 20% improvement in output from solar panels might make people look twice) Anyways, please note that the clock based solar tracker is now a collaboration. If you have any old clocks at home, please take one apart, add a "gearwheel" instead of an hour hand and as long as it can handle 100 g (4 oz) of weight attached to a string and still keep time, it is viable. brian
