Introduction: How to Make a Kool-Aid Pie

This is an easy recipe for a no bake pie.

Step 1: Ingredients

You will need the following:
1 (0.13 ounce) package of unsweetened fruit flavored drink mix (any flavor)
1 can of SWEETENED condensed milk (14 ounces)
1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust or for homemade pie crust, see Step 2 Optional Ingredients
1 (8 ounce) container of whipped cream (I use Kraft Cool Whip Original)
1 medium sized bowl
a spoon or whisk

Prep time: 10 min.
Serve time: 1 hour

Step 2: Optional Ingredents

Homemade pie crust:
1 cup of vanilla wafers
1 stick of salted or unsalted butter
3/4 cup of pecans or your choice of nuts
a 9 inch aluminum pan

fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, blueberries, etc.)
canned whipped cream (original Reddi Wip or similar)

Step 3: Mixing

Put a little more than half of the whipped cream into the bowl. Take the drink mix and pour it into the bowl with the whipped cream.(Some of the drink mixes can be very tart so start off by using half of the package, mix it with the whipped cream and taste it but if your want more flavor, just put all of the drink mix into the whipped cream). Take the spoon or whisk and mix the whipped cream and drink mix together until the color of the drink mix is evenly mixed into the whipped cream and until the whipped cream is smooth and thick.

Step 4: Mixing (con't)

Take the can of sweetened condensed milk and pour all of it into the whipped cream/kool-aid mixture you just made. Now stir the milk into the cream thoroughly until there is no sign of the milk and until the cream is smooth again. This is your pie filling.

Step 5: Homemade Pie Crust (Optional)

Melt the stick of butter in a bowl. Crumble the cup of vanilla wafers into fine pieces then mix thoroughly with the butter. Now crumble the pecans or your choice of nuts into tiny pieces and add to the wafers and butter. Stir together then add to the aluminum pan. Cover the bottom and sides of the pan.

Step 6: Marrying the Pie Crust With the Pie Filling

Carefully take the top off of the graham cracker pie crust so that you won't break the pie crust. Be sure to keep the top to cover the pie. With the pie crust uncovered and in its original container, pour all of the pie filling into the middle of the pie crust and and spread evenly over the bottom of the crust so that there are no air bubbles. Make sure that the top is even also.

Step 7: Toppings (Optional)

The toppings make your pie look and taste even better but you don't have to have them. Slice your fruit into whatever design you like and place it on top of your pie. **Note: Be sure that your fruit choice corresponds with your drink mix choice (strawberry drink mix, strawberry and banana fruit). Also you may want to chill your fruit before putting it on the pie to keep the fruit juices from liquidizing your pie.**

Step 8: Toppings (con't)

Instead of using fruit, you can simply put whipped cream on top. Don't mix it into the pie. You can border the edges of the pie, put some in the middle, or both. Take the picture for example.

Step 9: Chill Time

Place your pie into the freezer for about an hour to an hour and a half (depending on how cold your freezer is). If you want your pie firmer, leave it in the freezer until it is to your likeness. **Note: If you put a fruit topping on your pie, the fruit may be frozen and hard so give the fruit time to soften. You can put the fruit on after you chill the pie.**

Step 10: ENJOY!

Take your finished pie out of the freezer, divide, and enjoy!
