Introduction: How to Make a Minecraft Auto-Filling Pool.
This uses pistons and redstone to make a pool you can cover up. The pool auto levels itself.

Repeat this step on both indented sides.g

Both torches have a block over them.

Both sides should look like this. Repeaters should all be on 1 tick.

Redstone goes all around.

The block with no redstone on it, you must put it there, or crazy stuff will happen.
EDIT- the repeater needs to face the other way.
Step 17:
Cover the mechanism with dirt so it matches ground level again.
These two must be left uncovered.
Step 18:
The pistons are now holding wool, and are outlined with wool.
Step 19:
Place two layers of stone* around the pool
*or whatever you use to make it.
Step 20:
Design the front of your pool. The chiseled block is showing you where to put the lever. --- The chiseled block is placed above the uncovered redstone- the one closest to surface.
Step 21:
Have water flow from the outline of the pool like in the picture.
The water should all be source blocks.
Step 22:
Cover the water with slabs.
Step 23:
Place the lever and enjoy the pool.
You can also create pools at ground level, you do the same process, but you dig your hole and place your pistons deeper ;)
