Introduction: How to Make an Easy Customisable Lego Transmission Part 1
This transmission set up is my own design and can be use in most Lego technic creations. I find it very cool and realistic so if you want to show of your mechanical and Lego skill I recommend this
Step 1: Parts Needed
Two 10cm rods, Three 8cm rods, Two 6.5cm rods and One grey 5.5cm rod. Three 13 holed long brick but I only have one so I am improvising. Two 2 by 10 bricks. A power function battery and small motor. And I'm sorry but I don't know what the other Lego pieces are called but all pieces will be show in the photos above.
Step 2: The Base
Step 3: The Gear Changer
For step Three use the large rods. This transmission does not have reverse because the motor does so I don't see the point of adding it but if you would like to add it, please do. This does have neutral but it needs to be adjusted in hight of the gear changer.
Step 4: Finished!!!
Congratulations you have just made manual transmission that can be changed into automatic with another motor but I currently can't show you how to do it due to money and I can't show you part two yet due to money but if you know how to finish this, go ahead, and please customize it however you wish and send me feedback and photos of your transmission. Thanks heaps!! Please follow my you tube account. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCojmhrYpgwhhsJOwcwSsgvg . In part 2 i will show you how to make the out put shaft and maybe i might show you how to add more gears.
