Kahlua is a delicious, sweet, coffee liqueur, that taste great in cocktails, but also as a topping on desserts and alone. This will only cost you about 1/3 of the cost then buying it in the stores and it is so easy to do. This how to video will give you step by step instructions on how to make this delicious drink in your own kitchen. 

Ingredients:
2 1/2 Cups Granulated Sugar
3 TBS Instant Coffee
1 TBS Vanilla Extract
1 Qt (32 oz) Water
2 1/2 Cups Vodka

Original kahlua is made from Bacardi rum. It's not necessary to use Bacardi, you can add some middle shelf rum, but in my opinion is better than vodka.

A friend of mine used to make this with moonshine instead of vodka. I'd like to say it was better but can't remember anything after the first drink. Whew!! Good stuff. Older and wiser now we make smoothies with ice cream. Or a quick shot in the morning coffee.

I have always used a vanilla bean. And I agree - have you priced commercial Kahlua lately - ARGGG. Love the stuff and homemade is always better.

great video! Have you tried this with flavored vodka? A cherry or raspberry vodka might work well, maybe?
