STEP 1: Making the Base
Measure and cut 3 x 3inch square of corrugated cardboard.Cut 3 pieces of same size of the cardboard to get required thickness. Now apply glue to the pieces of cardboard and join them.Take your Fabric and glue it on the cardboard pieces. i'm sewing it because my fabric is stretchy and i was not getting the required result by glue.and now your base is ready.
STEP 2: Attaching the Base With the Main Cushion
Now, for the main cushion, cut one more 3x3inch piece of cardboard.cut your fabric bigger then your cardboard piece.Glue 3 side leave the forth opening for stuffing the cotton or inserting the foam.after you've stuffed your cushion with cotton/foam,close the opening.and glue the cushion on the base you've made before.Glue the thread or ribbon at the joining line of the base and cushion. now its time to make the back rest of sofa.
STEP 3: Making of Back and Arm Rest
For the back rest cut 2.5inch x 2.5 inch of cardboard and glue the fabric of your choice, after that glue the thread along the edges.Join the back rest from base by applying glue at the back of base.
Take 3 or 2 bottle caps.Apply glue at the edges of caps and join them together.Cover the caps with fabric and glue the thread at the joining line.Do the same to make the other arm rest and attach both of them at the base.glue 4 beads at the bottom of the base. Now! your miniature sofa is ready.Pop up the look of it by placing a small cushion at the back rest.
I've made the double seat sofa from the same process.I have cut 7 inch piece of cardboard for the base and made two base cushion with 3.5 inch cardboard piece glued the rest of it together and done!
As this is my very first tutorial, i will look forward for suggestions to improve myself! so please let me know if this tutorial needs more improvement.
THANKS for taking a peek at this ^.^
