For this instructable I am going to show you how to make the most adorable shrinky dink rings . They are super cheap to make, and would make great Valentines Day present. You can even write on them it would be a cute way to pop the question. Hope you enjoy :)

Step 1: What You Need

What you need is:

Ruler

Scissors

Baking pan (or sheet)

Brown paper bag

Oven mitt (or pot holder)

Sheet of shrinky dinks

Markers (whatever colors you want)

You can also use rubber stamps & ink.

Step 2: Mark It

First grab your sheet of shrinky dinks and mark 6 inches long and 1 wide (depending on your finger size this size fits most but you can change the length or width depending on how big or wide you want it)

Step 3: Preheat Oven

At this point preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 4: Cut and Color

Now cut out your shrinky dink strips and round off the ends as it will get sharp when it shrinks. Now grab your markers and draw (or stamp) your design on the rough side ( remember if you are drawing words like L-O-V-E you need to write them backwards)

Step 5: Lay It Out

Now grab your brown paper bag and put it on your baking sheet. Put your Shrinky Dinks on it rough side down.

Step 6: Time to Bake

Put the baking sheet in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes. After 2 minutes use your oven mitt (or pot holder) to take them out.

Step 7: Bend It

As soon as you take the Shrinky Dinks out of the oven you are going to have to work fast. Quickly bend them into a circle put your finger through it to make sure it fits, but pull it off quickly because it will be hot.

Step 8: The Finished Results

And you are done. The finished product looks really awesome. Remember these make great Valentines Day presents. I hope you enjoyed this instructable, and if you did, check out some of my others. Don't forget to vote.

Step 9: WARNING

Remember ovens are dangerous and should never be used without adult supervision. When you take your rings out of the oven they will be very hot you will need to move quickly as to not burn your fingers.
