Introduction: How to Make Simple, Fun Gingerbread Cookies!

This Instructable will teach you how to make easy, quick gingerbread cookies that are fun to do with family or friends any time!

Step 1: Gather What You Need!

To start, you will need:
1 egg
1 TBSP water
1 stick of butter
1 bag of Betty Crocker gingerbread cookie mix
A large bowl
A fun cookie cutter you would like to use
Foil
Rolling Pin
Cookie Sheet(s)

Step 2: Mixing Time!

Once you've got all your ingredients, it's time to mix!
Throw everything into your big bowl and dive right in. It will most likely be too difficult to stir with a utensil, so dont be afraid to get your hands dirty!

Step 3: Time to Make Some Shapes!

Now that you've got everything mixed, it should be in a nice round ball. (shown below)
Next you're gonna take your foil and roll it out onto your counter top or a nice flat surface and place your rounded cookie dough on it.
Now it's time for the cookie cutters! If you dont plan to use a cookie cutter, you can take 1 inch balls off of the cookie dough and place them on your cookie sheet then skip to the next step.

Step 4: Laying the Cookies Out on the Sheet!

Now that you've got your foil layed out you need to roll the dough flat that way you can cut shapes in it.
Press the cookie cutter down into the dough and pull the excess away from the edges. Roll the dough back into a ball and repeat. Cut as many as you'd like and then set them on your baking pan.
If you have regular dough balls you will be able to place about 12 on a sheet depending on the size.

Step 5: Cooking!

Once you've got all your dough laid out, it's time to put them in the oven! The bag will be able to assist you on oven temperature depending on the type of cookie sheet you're using and whether you made cut out cookies or balls.

Step 6: Enjoy!

After the required amount of time, take the cookies out to cool for about 8-12 minutes.
After they've cooled, you can put them on a nice looking plate for everyone to see and enjoy!
