Introduction: How to Make a Difference

Many people think they can't make a difference in the world.  However, it doesn't matter who you are.  Tall or short, male or female, old or young, everyone has the power to make a difference and here is how you can get started.

Step 1:

Get a group together who wants to help.  Whether friends at school, family, or neighbors; there is power in numbers.

Step 2:

Choose a cause you want to support.  Make sure it is something you are passionate about and interested in.

Step 3:

  Plan it out.
-Set a goal you want to achieve to help your organization.
-Organize convenient times and places to give.  (You can give money, supplies, time, help, or even a card!)

Step 4:

  Raise awareness.
-Create fliers and pamphlets.  Post and distribute them at your school, neighborhood, or other places you go.
      -Make frequent announcements and updates.
      -Motivate the public.

Step 5:

Now comes the great part...
-Go to your organization and help them, give them what you made, or donate what you collected.

Step 6:

What I made...
Ultimately, I made a lasting difference in my school and community.

How I made it...
A group of friends and I decided to unite together to make change.  We started a service club that holds meetings, conducts fundraisers, organizes volunteer efforts, and gives to others.

Where I made it...
Our service club meets at my school.  However, we also go places to help those outside of school.

What I learned...
The hardest part of starting this project was putting my own wants aside and helping others.  The biggest thing I have learned is that their is nothing more rewarding than putting a smile on someone's face!
