How to Reuse Zip-ties

Many people who use zip ties a lot like to reuse them. This instructable shows a simple, easy way to reuse the zip ties.

Step 1: Step 1

Tighten the tie all the way so that there is a tiny loop at the end

Step 2: Step 2

Now use the tie like it is a normal zip tie. That's it!

Or you can just undo the zip tie to reuse it.

is there a way to do that though? or are you just being mean? i dont know in my experience there is no way to undo a ziptie.

Does it have similar holding power as a "normally used" zip tie? If so, this is a great way to conserve ties.

They are taking a new zip tie and closing it on itself to make a small loop that the end can go through without "locking"

good idea, but normally you can just open them with a tiny thing (p.e. a small screw driver) to reuse them

i think the zip tie with this way cannot do the same function it will be weak if you use to tight something you need to tight it strongly .
