How to Set Up a Fantasy Football Team Lineup Using Fanduel

These instructions will show you step by step how to set up a fantasy football team lineup using Fanduel, if you are using a tablet or smart device on your active Fanduel account.

Step 1: Important Fanduel Rules, Requirements, and Functions

-Each team will consists of a Quarterback, 2 Running Backs, 3 Wide Receivers, 1 Tight End, 1 Kicker, and 1 Team Defense
-In order for any lineup to be eligible for submission, each position must be filled with a player
-When using Fanduel, each player is given a monetary value that affects your team's "salary cap"
-Every team has the same salary cap of either 60K or 65k
-The addition of every player subtracts that players monetary value from the salary cap

Step 2: Entering Your Contest

-The first thing you must do is select your competition of choice.
-Look at the image and notice the contest of choice is under the "NFL" title. It is important to select a contest under this league for these instructions to be accurate.
-There are different types of contests to choose from.
-Now select the "League" contest.
-To start your contest, select the timeframe of your choice, then select the "League" option.

Step 3: Select Your League

-Your next step will include selecting what league you wish to compete in.
-Each league will display a entry fee, prize amount, entries amount (how many entries are left in the given league) and a league name
-You will select one of these leagues based on your preferences of entry fee, prize amount, and entry size.

Step 4: Select Your Quarterback

-First, you must select your team's quarterback.
-Note that you can select a player at any position by selecting the vacant position first, then select a player off of the available player list.
-You can do this by selecting the green addition sign next to the player's cost to add that player to your lineup.
-Use your fantasy knowledge to select the player you see best fit in your team's lineup.
*Remember not to exceed your salary cap.

Step 5: Select Your Two Running Backs

-Now you will select your team's two running backs.
-Note that you can select a player at any position by selecting the vacant position first, then select a player off of the available player list.
-Each team will need two players who fulfill the running back position.
-Use your fantasy knowledge to select two running backs from the given list of players to fulfill your two vacant positions.
*Remember don't exceed your salary cap

Step 6: Select Your Three Wide Receivers

-Now you will need to select three wide receivers from the given players list.
-Note that you can select a player at any position by selecting the vacant position first, then select a player off of the available player list.
-Use your fantasy knowledge to select three players wide receivers to fulfill your three vacant spots
*Remember don't exceed your salary cap

Step 7: Select Your Tight End

-Now you must select one tight end from the given players list.
-Note that you can select a player at any position by selecting the vacant position first, then select a player off of the available player list.
-Use your fantasy knowledge to select one player from the list to full fill your vacant position.

Step 8: Select Your Kicker

-Now you will select one kicker from the list of players given
-Note that you can select a player at any position by selecting the vacant position first, then select a player off of the available player list.
-Use your fantasy knowledge to select one kicker to fulfill your vacant team position

Step 9: Select Your Defense

-Now you will select one defense from the list of given defenses
-Note that you can select a player at any position by selecting the vacant position first, then select a player off of the available player list.
-Use your fantasy knowledge to select your defense to fulfill your vacant position

Step 10: Review Your Line Up

-It is important to review your lineup to assure every position is filled and you have not exceeded the given salary cap.
-Review your lineup and make any corrections as needed.
-Remember that each position must have a selected player, otherwise your lineup will not be eligible for submission.

Step 11: Submit Your Lineup

-Once you have reviewed your lineup and have made any adjustments necessary, your are able to submit your lineup
-Submit your lineup by selecting the green "Submit" button in the top right corner of your screen.
-Once you have submitted your team's lineup, you are now finished and are ready to compete in your Fanduel League.
