Introduction: How to Build a 5 Port Charging Station

About: I enjoy repurposing and restoring old furniture and making woodwork projects that are not seen every day. I make most of my projects using wood that is either, recycled, reclaimed and love to repurpose and rest…

I wanted to try and build a charging station to accommodated all my Devices without using all my plug sockets in the house and without all our devices lying around everywhere so I came up with this design. I think every home could do with one of these.

Step 1:

I cut out my shapes from scrap wood, I made them from large to small to suit all my devices. This was my first design, the excess cables were suppuse to be wrapped around the center supports but I found it was still very messy and my phone and Ipad did not sit on there very well, so I decided to make a box stand that did not work out very good either.

Step 2:

So I combined the two and came up with a great stand that looked good and kept all my Devices tidy while they were charging. And the best thing was it only uses one plug in the house.

Step 3: Inside View

This is what the inside of the box looks like. The charging box was glued in the box. I added the rubber clips to keep the cables tidy on the top, which you can label if you need too.

Step 4: Phone Charging Station
