How to Capture a Detailed Picture in Winter (Beginner Friendly)

Hello! My name is Evangelina. I really like taking pictures of nature, especially in winter, and today i’m going to to show you how to snap a couple of pictures yourself in a couple of easy steps! The cool thing is, this not only works with nature , but it also works at home!

Supplies

The materials you need are only an electronic device that has the app camera on it, and a place in the nature, or at home, where you can take quite a couple of close up photos.

Step 1: Find What You’re Going to Capture

It doesn’t matter if you’re doing this at home, or outside, they are still the same steps.

Find something or somewhere that has a background and something that’s in front of the background. Or something that is textured (Bark, Pine needles, Grass etc.)

In this case, I used the Christmas tree / Ornaments in my living room

Step 2: Placement

When you’ve figured out what you want to capture, place everything in the right places!

For example; if you want to have a picture kind of like the one at the cover of this instructable, you have to place some straws on a rock, and then put the device you’re using at the right angle. Now that part might be tricky!

Step 3: Brightening or Darkening the Picture

Now that you’ve done everything from getting the materials to positioning your elements, it’s time to take the photo! But, the thing is, sometimes the lighting doesn’t work like you want it too. But, if you tap the screen once when you're in the camera app, you will see a yellow square with a little sun on the side. If you drag the sun up and down it will make the photo brighter or darker. It doesn’t always work to make the photo brighter but it will usually work.
