About: You also have many workers: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and people skilled in every kind of work in gold, silver, bronze and iron- beyond number. Now begin the work, and may the LORD be with you. 1Croni…

Its the holidays, family coming over, and your couch looked like Rick James wiped his feet on it? Then I will show you how to clean it instead of covering it up.

You will need:
Clean Squirt bottle.
70% Isopropyl Alcohol. (or rubbing alcohol)
Clean white rag
Vacuum
bristle brush

Step 1: Vacuum Your Couch.

First thing, vacuum your couch.  I used the brush attachment.  Go over your whole couch. While your doing it look for stains. I noticed spills on my cushions, grim on the arm rests and the back looked like someone was letting their "Soul Glo"

Step 2: Spray With Alcohol. Wipe on Wipe Off.

If you haven't done so already, pour straight alcohol into your bottle and mist the stains until lightly saturated. You want to cover the stains completely, feathering outward.
Taking your clean rag scrub the stains, you should notice them getting lighter and the rag getting darker with dirt,  Move your rag to a clean area and repeat until you no longer see dirt appear on the rag.
Then move on to the next area.

Work  from one end of the couch, head to foot, to the other end.  The alcohol will dry in 30 min to 45 min.  If you still see some of the stain, or the "hard edged" of the halo from spilled juice, then go back and repeat that area only.

Step 3: Bristle the Fibers Back in Place.

I found it easier to brush it gently while its still damp to get the fibers soft again. Brush all the fibers in one direction to see if you need to go back over any stains, they should be noticeably lighter now.

Step 4:

Once dry your couch should be better, if not, good as new.  Now you don't have to be afraid to let your kids/inlaws sit on it, or worry about spills.

I got this idea from Chris and Robin's blog
