Introduction: How to Connect Multiple Devices to a TV (Xbox, Wii, DVD, Blu-Ray, Etc)
Big thanks to my friend Rob for helping me get partnered with YouTube!
In this video I show how to connect multiple devices to a High Definition TV (HDTV) using a "component switch". A component switch allows you to connect multiple devices to one TV. You select the device simply by pressing a button. Make sure your TV is set to it's "component setting" when selecting the device.
Any questions feel free to ask...I check daily. THANKS FOR WATCHING!

I bought a GE 4 component switch, hooked my vizio tv, a badic dvd, a wii and a ps one...all came on but bad picture and no color except tv. My tv came with the updated cords (blue, green etc) but my switch has only three color capabilities so I switched out all of the cords. What happened?

I have a Samsung Smart TV. I want to connect the TV to a Comcast cable box to a Samsung Crystal Air Track sound bar to a HDMI switch box with a PS3, PS4, and Xbox 360. I have it connected where the TV plays cable with perfect surround sound. I also show my HDMI sources on the screen when selected. The problem is the sound remains for the cable channel that is on even when I switch sources to try to play the gaming systems. How do I hook up the cable box and switch box so that all play correctly when selected? I have all of the gaming systems connected to the switch box by HDMI cords. I have the switch box connected to the TV by HDMI cord. I have the sound bar sub woofer connected to the TV by Optical cable. The only way I can get sound is by connecting the sound bar to the cable box by the red and white audio cables.

So if I want to connect a Wii to my HD TV, I can use the component switch? I noticed on your TV you have 5 slots. On my Visio HD TV, I Have only 2 slots- Red & White, there is no yellow. Can I still use the component switch or what exactly do I need or have to do to get the Wii up & running?

? you speak of devices..I want to be able to run either my DVR box for Dir. TV or be able to play a VHS or DVD from my recorder...so are these both considered 'components' so I could ge a component switch thing and plug both into it and then plug that into my flat screen tv and just press either button to watch satellite tv or a movie DVD or VHS ?

Help! I have an Emerson TV that is about 3 years old, a Magnivox combination VCR/DVD player from 2006 and a Roku box. I finally got them all hooked up so they play sound and show pictures but my DVD player only plays in black and white. Anyone have any ideas why it would be doing this or how to fix it? Any help at all would be appreciated. I can only get the Roku to play through the "video" channel - it plays great, no problem - and the DVD player to play through the "component" channel if that makes a difference.

i just recently bought on amazon a switcher box that just has 4 RCA inputs and 1 RCA output. I got a sharp flat screen that i'm trying to connect to and when i select input on remote the box doesn't get detected when i plug in all my devices. The tv seems to only detect the devices when i plug them into the TV's RCA inputs but not the box's. What do I do?

Much appreciated. This video was so needed. My mom has an older TV in her bedroom so I purchased the Roku for her Netflix which was great, but since she only has one connector on her TV, so I'm purchasing her Componet Switch today--I'll keep you posted. Thanks so much!
