Introduction: How to Convert Cordless Drill to Corded

If cordless drill battery is dead, you can convert drill to corded and continue to use in corded way.

Step 1: Conversion of Cordless Drill to Corded

You will need:

  • Cordless drill with dead battery (9.6V)
  • Power supply (12V, 10A)
  • Wire
  • Tools/ soldering tools

Remove old battery elements from battery pack and solder wire to battery pack contacts instead. Connect other side of wire to power supply.You are ready to go.

    I would love to be able to use my Milwaukee M18 tablesaw as a corded tool when I’m either near a power source or when I have extensive amounts of cuts and not be limited by battery power or swapping and charging multiple batteries.
