Introduction: How to Cook French Onion Dip
This has to be my all-time favourite dip, it has the mix of sweet and savoury.
This recipe is perfect for any party.
Step 1: To Start Dice One Onion.
Divide in half and finely chop half of the onion into as small as you can.
Place into a pot.
Step 2: Next Add 3 Table Spoons of Butter.
Followed by 1 table spoon of brown sugar.
Step 3: Place Over Low Heat, Mix the Onions Through the Sugar.
Once the butter has melted, cover with the lid and cook on low for 45 minutes.
Step 4: The Onions Have Caramelised Nicely and Done a Little Brown in Colour.
Remove from the heat and let cool.
Step 5: Time Put It Together.
In a mixing bowl add:
- 1 cup of cream cheese that is at room temp
- 2 tablespoons of sour cream.
- Then 2 teaspoons of minced garlic.
- Add the onions.
- ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
- ½ teaspoon of salt.
- ½ teaspoon of celery salt.
Step 6: Using a Fork Mix It All Together.
If you’re finding it a bit tricky to mix, heat in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Step 7: There You Have It! French Onion Dip.
This recipe isn’t too hard and is perfect for any party.
