My friend and I have chosen to show you, step by step, how to make a ninja star. This star is really cool because once finished, you can change its shape by pulling it apart and pushing it together. If you pull it, it turns into an octagon. But if you push it back together it can change into a ninja star. It is also very easy and quick to make and requires little supplies. You can even throw it like a frisbee. We hope you enjoy making and playing with this ninja star.

Supplies

Material List-

8 Post-It Notes or 8 3"x3" Pieces of Paper (can be multiple colors or just one color)

Step 1: Fold Your Paper in Half

Take one of your post it notes and fold one corner to the other to make a triangle like shape as shown above.

Step 2: Repeat on the Other Side

First open up the post it that you just folded and now fold the other 2 corners together.

Step 3: Unfold and Fold Like a Hot Dog

First unfold the fold you just made and then fold it like a hot dog or card.

Step 4: Unfold and Fold the Corners In

First unfold your post it and then fold the 2 top corners into the middle.

Step 5: Fold in Half

This time do not unfold your folds and fold this in half as shown above.

Step 6: Fold the Back In

First fold the back flap up as shown above (the second blue post it) then fold it in to make a parallelogram shape.

Step 7: Repeat Steps 1-6

Repeat steps 1-6 seven more times. You should have 8 parallelograms. If you want to do a pattern you should make 4 of one color and 4 of another color. If not that's fine to.

Step 8: Start Putting You Pieces Together

Take one piece you made and make sure the closed part is to your left and the open part is to your right. Then take another one and stick it in the one you have on the right. But make sure the open part of the second one is also on the right. Then fold the corners of the first one into the second one (this is shown above in two angles).

Step 9: Repeat the Last Step

Take another piece and stick it into the piece you just made making sure the open side is on the right. Then fold in the corners like you did in the previous step.
