Introduction: How to Crochet a Drawstring Bag
This is a step-by-step tutorial which will hopefully get you through your project! Uses for this bag might be: keep marbles, gum, coins, pretty rocks, beads or anything else small you use daily in this bag. You could make a very large version, and it would be a backpack! Personally, I find it an excellent bag to put small gifts in- it's very cute, and a reusable package!

Step 2: The First Layer
Using the "chain stitch" make a chain of 15 stitches. Remember to keep each stitch even, and the same size as the one before. Now join the two ends together.
Step 3: The Second to Seventh Layers
To complete the second to seventh layers, use the double stitch to add on to your joined chain as shown in the picture.
Step 4: The Last Layer
On the last layer, you'll be using the double crochet stitch, but after each one you'll add a chain stitch. After this, the bottom should look slightly ruffled.

Step 5: Close the Bottom
Now we need to close the bottom of our bag. stitch through both sides of the bottom of the bag, pulling the yarn through both loops (you should actually be pulling the yarn back through 3 loops). move on to the end of it and but the yarn off.
Step 6:
Now, for the drawstring take your yarn and wrap it around your bag three times. Cut this amount off from the yarn ball.
Next, beginning in the middle, pull the yarn through the top of the bag. Do the same with the rest of the yarn you just cut off.
