How to Download the SSL Certificate From a Website in Windows

Here I'll explain how to export SSL certificates from websites you visit in your web browser.

Supplies

Web browser (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, etc).

Step 1: Open the Website You Want to Download the Certificate From

Step 2: Click the Secure Icon Next to the URL

Step 3: Click on "Certificate"

Step 4: Select "Details" and "Copy to File..."

Step 5: Save Your Certificate File

• Click Next
• Select the desired format (usually Base-64 encoding X.509 .CER)
• Browser or enter the file name
• Click finish
