Introduction: How to Draw Anime

About: Hey, I'm Angela. Nice to meet you! I hope my lessons help people in this world.

Today, I drew Lilac, one of my OCs. It doesn't look that good, but I hope ya'll like it! <3

Supplies

Paper, Eraser, Pencil (a normal one would work, haha), pen, multi-media colors (optional!)

Step 1:

Draw a circle using your pencil. Remember: draw lightly and it doesn't need to be perfect!

Step 2:

Draw a cross. you can search up how to position the cross for different perspectives if you wish to do so. (I might make an instructable about it later on.)

Step 3:

I put some instructions on the paper, but if you can't read it, it says "flip this around and do it twice!" with a picture next to it.

Step 4:

Fix where the cross is, and erase useless lines. This is the time to start looking for mistakes and lightening up your lines if they are too dark.

Step 5:

Draw the ears, look at how I did them! From this perspective, one ear is smaller than the other so be careful with the size. remember to look where I put the ears! (in the middle of the horizontal line.)

Step 6:

Add the neck and as much of the rest of the body as you please. (body tutorial next time!) Round out the face, and fix how dark your lines are.

Step 7:

Draw the face! I might make a face tutorial depending on how popular this gets! This is the time to add freckles, earrings, and face tattoos. No color though!

Step 8:

Draw the hair. Hair is usually kind of wavy so go extra light and pick your pencil up fast near the tips. But for the base, follow Kooleen's way: make a starting point, and add bananas.

Step 9:

Accessories, accessories, accessories. Add clothing, necklaces, bows, headbands, hats, etc. Don't color just yet!

Step 10:

trace it with a pen if you want to color it! Erase the pencil line when you're done for better quality. If you don't want to color it, you are either done, or you can shade it (next tutorial!) then you are done.

Step 11:

Color and sign! I named her Lilac. Media I used: watercolor. I WILL in the future, make a watercolor tutorial. Make finishing touches if needed.
