Introduction: How to Draw a Rose

Materials:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Colored pencils/markers/paint

Step 1: Draw a "U" Shape.

Step 2: Draw a Line From the Left Tip of the U to the Bottom Right.

Step 3: Draw Another Line Starting From the Top Left Down to the Bottom Right.

Step 4: Draw a Line From the Right Tip of the U to the Line You Drew in the Step Before.

Step 5: Draw Two Vertical Lines As Shown Below.

Step 6: Draw a Curved Line From the Vertical Line on the Right Down to the First Line You Drew on the U.

Step 7: Draw a Curved Line From the Vertical Line to the Left to the Center of the Flower.

Step 8: Draw a Line From the Tip of the Vertical Line to the Right to the Curved Line You Drew Above.

Step 9: Draw a Swirl at the End of the Line You Just Drew.

Step 10: Draw a Line Connecting the Tip of the Vertical Line to the Left to the Line With the Swirl.

Step 11: Curve the Pointed Edges of the Flower.

Step 12: Darken Your Lines, and Erase the Strays.

Step 13: Draw the Base of the Flower With Small Leave Shapes.

Step 14: Draw Two Straight Lines Going Down From the Base of the Flower to Create a Stem.

Step 15: Draw Small Triangular Leave Shapes to Create Thorns.

Step 16: Draw Oval Shapes With Pointy Tips for Leaves.

Step 17: Start Coloring With Whatever Materials You’d Like (markers, Colored Pencils, Paint, Etc.)

Step 18: After Coloring, You Can Erase the Rest of Your Pencil Marks.
