Introduction: How to Fix Your "Double Clicking" Razer Copperhead Mouse

This is a Breif instructable on how to fix your worn Copperhead in about 5 min. This will most likely void your warrentee so if its out of date your good. All you need is a small Phillips head screwdriver and 2 drops of super glue.

Step 1: Opening

Ok, Cracking this baby open is pretty simple, Gently remove the bottom "Glide pad" with your thumbnail or a credit card to Expose the screw covered with a "QC" sticker, Use a good size screwdriver (not a micro or eyeglass style) these babys are built well and the screw is torqued down real good. Remember "lefty loosey righty tighty"

Step 2: Slide Back and Unplug.

after removing the screw, Lift up a bit and gently slide the top cover downward away from the usb wire. Do not force it, a little wiggiling wil help though. Then unplugthe pulsing LED as shown.  Set the base aside as the only thing needing service is the top cover.

Note: this is a great time to remove any dust or undesierables from the base using air from your mouth or your air in a can.

Step 3: The Repair...

ok here I have a few pics to show where it wears from major clickage. All you need is to put a single drop of "Super Glue" in the wear grooves. Use caution as not to use too much. One drop is all you need. Let it dry.  Yes Let it dry. If you assemble prior to drying you will Brick it.
Yes you will get glue into the micro switch and you may as well throw it out if that happens.

Step 4: Verify

double check your drops,  make sure they did not drip down the sides. If so wipe and reapply.

Step 5: Final

reverse steps 2 and 1 to re assemble, If you find the glow wire is slipping out alot you can use scotch tape to hold it down and pulll it out or trim it off before tightening the screw.
