Introduction: How to Install Behavior/Texture Packs in Minecraft Android, IOS and Windows

A decent number of Minecraft fans who want to use behavior packs (addons, mods) and/or texture packs in Minecraft don't really know how to install them on their device. This tutorial will show you how to install these mcpack and mcaddon packs in Minecraft on Android, iOS and Windows platforms in 2024 year with new in-game UI.

Step 1: Find a Mod

There are many sites with addons for Minecraft, and one of the popular and safe ones is modbay.org. The site offers both mods and addons, as well as maps, texture packs and other interesting add-ons for Minecraft. In this case, all content is created by users themselves and passes the moderation check.

Open the site and select Mods, choose the right mod for you. Use the available filters to sort the mods by version and theme, it's very useful!

Step 2: Install the Mod on Android

Now it's time to download the files on Android. To do this, you need to find the block with links to the file or files of the mod. Follow the link to download the file.

Download and open the mcpack or mcaddon mod file via Minecraft. You will see a tooltip that the import has started. When the import is complete, the game will inform you about it.

After that, open your world settings or create a new one. Select Behavior Packs and find the mod. Click Activate to enable it in your world. If the mod includes a resource pack, go to Resource Packs and do the same.

The last step before using the mod in your world is to enable the experiments.

Step 3: Install the Mod on IOS

Downloading and installing Minecraft add-ons on iOS is completely similar to Android. Just repeat the steps above to install the mod on your iPhone or iPad.

Step 4: Install the Mod on Windows PC

The steps are similar to Android and iOS, but if for some reason the import didn't happen, then simply extract the mod folder and resource pack to C:\Users\(your pc username)\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\. Here you will need to find folder behavior_packs and resource_packs, extract the mod and mod resources into these folders. Restart Minecraft to load addon in the game.

Step 5: Remove the Mod

If you no longer need the mod and wish to remove it, simply open Settings, then go to Storage and delete the addon and resource pack. This will free up extra space and improve performance, as the game will not need to load the addon at launch.
